They have many years experience of the tourist industry and have gained formal qualifications as well. Their pride in this hospitable culture and the unique natural treasures of this magical place is matched only by their passion for ensuring guests have a great time. Leh is located at 3,500 meters so the correct measures are needed to ensure you don’t suffer from altitude sickness and so appropriate information and acclimatisation activities are made clear and followed so that it is possible to gain the most out of that time. It is an ideal place for a variety of adventurous activities. What ever your interest is they can give accurate detailed advice and arrange for you to do what you want from hiring a bike to mountain climbing. Safety is paramount and their knowledge and experience is second to none ensuring you are always in good hands. They have a range of tried and tested tours and treks and I had a great time last year with a group undertaking the famous and spectacular Marka Valley trek. The days were spent with the sound of the rivers as they carry the melted snow from the glaciers and they swell during the course of the day, offering a constant natual rhythm to the days. In the evening we were camping in some remarkably beautiful spots. It was the spectacular and a relief to meet the challenges of this demanding trek in safe and caring hands. The level of attention to detail was wonderful from ‘bed tea’ in the morning accompanied by a bowl of warm washing water at the tent, to wholesome food at the end of a long day, even a celebratory cake baked with only a primus stove! During the walking the company was great chatting about the unique geology, local history, or spotting various animals like the local blue deer, their knowledge is a real bonus. This year I was travelling solo and wanted more of a cultural experience and they were able to arrange the perfect trip for me which enabled me to enjoy the wilder parts of this unique environment in the Himalayas seeing mountain weasels, marmots and a whole host of colourful little birds. The locals are very welcoming and happy to explain the local culture and religion which is a particular form of Tibetan Buddhism. This company is committed to respectful tourism ensuring that the money stays local and supports this remarkable way of life, minimising the impact on the environment too.
