Trip description: Disket village is best known for its beautiful Gonpa perched on a rocky spur 200m above the village. You can have the bird’s eye view of the valley of flowers; be the confluence of the Siachan and Shayok rivers; the airy connectivity sand dune; or the charming view of the Samstanling monastery. It is right there below the afresh 100ft giant Buddha statue, the annual festival of the monastery is going on. It is the moment that never allows you to be dull with your camera.
