Wonders of Ladakh with Ladakh festival 2011

from 1st to 15th Sep 

Day 01:- After arrival at the Leh airport you will be received by our representative and transfer to the airport; after few hours of complete rest drive till Shanti Stupa from where you will have an excellent view of the Indus valley and a breath taking view of the Leh city. Later a short walk around Leh market.   O/N Leh.

Day 02:- After breakfast we will proceed towards Chowkhang Vihar where you can share time with Cham dances and Thanka exhibitions; after lunch we can enjoy the polo match at the Polo ground ; evening free leisure around Leh market.

Day 03:- Post breakfast we drive up to Chiling from where we will start river rafting along with the famous Zanskar river. After few hours of cool rapid raft you will have hot lunch at the campsite and drive back to Leh; on the way we can visit Patahr Sahib Gurduwar, magnetic hill, Spituk monastery and hall of fame. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04:-Excursion to Pangong Lake 14,0000ft After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake through Changla at a height 17,800ft (5486) Pangong lake situated at a 14000 feet 4267 4267mtrs. A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130 km long. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Evening leisure and overnight stay at camp.

Day 05:- Pangong to Leh. Post breakfast we drive back to Leh but one should not miss the early morning raising sunshine of the lake and its beautiful birds singing, drive back to Leh overnight at hotel.

Day 06:- Leh to Nubra After an early breakfast we drive to Nubra valley leads through khardong la) at 18,390 ft (5,602m) around 39 Kms from Leh. Arrive Hunder by afternoon and rest of the day leisure to explore Hunder and Disket village overnight at camp.

Day 07:- Nubra valley to Leh After your breakfast at the camp, visit Disket Monastery from where you can have an excellent view of the confluence of Shayok and Siachan rivers. Drive back to Leh via same rout. Overnight at hotel.

Day 08:- Transfer to the Airport to catch flight for your onward destination with sweet memory of Ladakh.
